That book sounds interesting. I've added it to my Amazon Wishlist, the online reminder of things I'll read... 'sometime'. It's really bad, there's even a Stephen Hawking book on it. Stephen Hawking! Sheesh, I must've been feeling really clever that day.

For all those Lost-ers(?) that are waiting for the new series being shown over here, not long to wait...............if you've got Sky or Telewest. Sky have bought the rights for the next 2 series, and they're now advertising Series 3 to start on Sky One in November.

It was kinda dull. They're wasting too much time on the flashbacks now. They were good when the characters were new and needed to be introduced but now it's an unnecessary gimmick most of the time. Sawyer's a conman of dubious morality? Yeah, wow, never knew that...

Also, the dialogue between Sawyer and Kate was pretty bad. I had Dawson's Creek flashbacks.

I've watched up to episode 6 (the cliffhanger) and am getting bored of it - never thought it could happen so quickly after the end of season 2 being so exciting. It's like Neighbours sometimes - neverending plot lines and corny romance.

I stopped watching after Episode 1 Season 1. I never thought it would go on as long as it has. How long have these people been LOST now? 3 seasons??? The mind boggles!

Same here, a lot of frustration and (crucially) not much excitement after the episode 6 "cliffhanger". I'll probably keep watching for a while, but it'll need to pick up quick if I'm not going to drift away................

Yes. It inched forward and, as usual, introduced more questions than it answered.

The plot is so huge it's like being hit by a bus.

However... has anyone else been watching the excellent [Heroes?]

Not watched it yet, and it's starting next week on the Sci-Fi channel, so will give it a spin there. Quite a coup for that channel I would imagine, usually it's just reruns of old shows, so to get one of the top performing and most highly acclaimed new shows from the US last year should boost their audience a bit methinks...

Just watched the last episodes of the series (only another 3 series, 48 episodes to go  ). Not going to give anything away but, as the Americans would say, it threw another curveball in there at the end.... , just for a change.

And, IV, you're right, Heroes is great. The first episode was a bit "what's the fuss about?", but from ep2 onwards it was unmissable. Apparently it's coming to BBC2 soon, so for anyone who hasn't seen it yet on cable, I recommend tuning in........and don't be put off by the first episode!

Got the last 2 downloaded but not watched yet, probably will be Sunday nights viewing. We definitely went off this series in the first half a dozen or so episodes but it did pick up a bit.

Also just watched the last episodes, not very sure what I made of the ending. Set up well for the next series though.

It started on BBC2 tonight (really should have posted this beforehand in case anyone was interested, but hey-ho... ).

Watched the whole series on Sci-fi, and can't wait for series 2 now. The first few episodes are good, but they're more just 'setting the scene', and it really picks up about 5-6 episodes in.

Never watch the telly these days, since I discovered this forum. Lost 'Lost' as we are on Virgin not Sky. Missed it for a while and then got used to life without Jack and co. Did enjoy it while it was on though.

I gave up after Series 2 and now, like you, have lost Sky One. Have now discovered something called Dexter and have begun watching the re-runs of The Wire on FX as a kind of compensation.

I love Dexter. Not every day a show comes along where the lead character is a serial killer. :D

God, you're a bit rubbish at quoting and you a mod as well.
Yes, Dexter. I tuned in on the strength of that guy having been in Six Foot Under. It looks promising, doesn't it?

You are a lazy boy sometimes. Luckily for you, I'm in a generous and good mood today but don't push it.

I've got a really stiff neck/shoulder today. A nice neck rub would be just lovely. Ta.

Just getting into it now on Beeb 2. That autopsy scene at the end of last night's episode was a bit of a shocker.
