Portobello Buddhist Priory

Does anyone know where this is ?
I received a postcard for the Rev Favian, Portobello Buddhist Priory, today, along with some mail for the Old Parish Church which I get regularly and pop across the road with but I'm a bit stumped with the PC.
I didn't know we had such a thing in Portobello so if anyone can help I would be grateful.

Well I was obviously busy in December 2005. You know how I am with getting my Xmas cards out on time..........

. Why haven't I seen them out and about then? Do they wear orange robes and shave their heads or have I just missed them?

There are sometimes monks and nuns from visiting priories down on the beach having a stroll or meditating, in orange and purple robes.

TG planned to "pop along" with that card on Wednesday. Has she posted since then? No!!

I think that's cause enough for concern.

Be a love and nip along and see if she's dancing around dressed in brightly coloured robes and playing finger cymbals outside the BoS.

Just as well I've logged on tonight as there might have been all sorts of rumours going round about me.

I had a "chum" with me when I went just to be on the safe side.
Why the postman decided to deliver it to me in the first place is a bit of a mystery though. Not sure what that says about my abode

Maybe the incense wafting through the letterbox confused them? Or the orange robes flapping on the washing line? Or the sound of humming from the living room? And I know all about your penchant for stoating about in bare feet in all weathers.

Both me and BC have been to Buddhist Centre in Bruntsfield (BC under duress mind

) and it was really great, no kidding.

They're on the floor being dustsheets at the moment but just say the word and they could be on your washing line in a flash
