Tom Hanks miscast game

Post by Dadaist » 16 Jul 2007, 20:31

Here's the rules.

Think of a movie which didn't have Tom Hanks in it, which would be rendered unwatchable by the substitution of Tom for one of the lead characters.

You get one shot only. Once everyone who is going to play has submitted their film/role suggestion, we'll vote on the winner.

Submit your suggestions in the following form :

FILM : "The Silence Of The Lambs"

ROLE : Tom Hanks as Hannibal Lecter

or perhaps

FILM : "Apocalypse Now"

ROLE : Tom Hanks as Colonel Kurtz

etc

If you like, you can submit a Tom Hanks movie with him playing alongside himself.

Female roles are fine, Tom will do drag.

So you could submit Sleepless In Seattle if you wanted and have Tom fall in love with Tom in drag instead of Meg.

Good luck and happy miscasting.

FILM "Harry Potter & the Curse of Bedeldore Hobbits" (or whatever   )

ROLE "Harry Potter"

He surely has the "naivety" of Forest Gump et al down to such a fine art that portraying a school-boy would be dead easy...

Please choose 1 (one) movie. Otherwise I'll take your first choice and it'll be the movie with all the stuff coming out of Tom Hanks' mouth.

Entries are now closed. Please vote in the poll.

At my work, the winning suggestion was Shaft with Tom Hanks playing Shaft.

My favourites thus far have been Poppy's discarded suggestion of Harry Potter, and a runner-up at my work which cast Tom as Renton in Trainspotting.

Happy voting all y'all.
