Screemin Armadillos @ Dalriada

Post by AmericanaOK » 13 Jul 2007, 13:45

I came across the following on another message board and thought you might be interested:

"Sunday 15 July, Sunday 19 August and Sunday 16 September are all guaranteed to have blue skies and temperatures above 30c. Take the family to Edinburgh's seaside where, in addition to the exceedingly clean water and golden sand, the Dalriada Hotel has pulled off a bit of an entertainment coup.

The Dalriada has managed to persuade Edinburgh's leading Americana band, those exiles from an Alabama trailer park, THE SCREEMIN ARMADILLOS, to play in their beer garden from 3.00 - 6.00pm.

The Dalriada Hotel is situated directly on the Prom about 2/3 of the way along towards Joppa. Sit in the beer garden or on the sea wall and listen to, laugh at/with this totally unique musical experience. You will think you're watching a re run of "Oh Brother Where Art Thou"....

Join Blind Billy-Bob, Sister Ruthie Beth, Tami-Lurleen, Dixie Dave, Roadkill Ron, Texas Frank and Choctaw Earl for afternoons of sun, beer and fun!! (Any resemblance to Council officers past or present is purely coincidental).... We are also expecting a guest appearance of the band's occasional dancin' pals the Dillettes.

YA'LL COME NOW YA HEAR!!
And it don't cost nuthin' "

Sunday 19th August is just when we start our wee work break, a trip to Dalriada could easily turn up on the agenda.....
