HRH Queen Elizabeth II - An Apology

Post by Dadaist » 12 Jul 2007, 21:17

PTV would like to apologise to the public and the House of Windsor for inadvertently showing footage which appears to show the Queen discovering one of her corgis tearing her bedroom curtains, at which point she apparently drags the corgi to her bathtub and drowns it.

This is a misrepresentation and is not the correct sequence of events.

This error can easily be explained by the fact that our outsourced editing team HatstandVision, no doubt in some sort of "republican" statement, in fact played this film backwards.

Running the film forwards, the correct sequence of events can be seen - the Queen in fact rescued the corgi from drowning in the bathtub, at which point the corgi - overcome with gratitude - led the queen to her shredded drapes and promptly mended them for her using only its claws.

For further details of this story, and our recent discovery of footage of Iraqi civilians throwing bullets at US guns, please visit our website.

I loved Bill Turnbull grilling the heid yin on the breakfast show this morning. Bill clearly relished pummeling his boss live on BBC1.
