Sad week

Post by SoupDragon » 08 Jun 2007, 10:49

Especially Monday

First thing was my dad and his companion had an elderly dog and they'd taken the decision it was time for a final trip to the vet. As I was leaving to collect them dad phoned to say the dog had collapsed so I had to carry her to the car , then into the vet. Poor Tess barely lifted her head at the injection .

Then worse was to come. My sister in law, Mags, had been in hospital again. She's been in and out since a bad stroke a few years ago and always rallied round , great courage and a great fighting spirit. But this time was different and she died on Monday night, two days before her 56th birthday.
She'd only been in their new , adapted house for a few weeks.
My heart goes out to her husband, Mike, her family and grandkids.

So sorry to hear your bad news, Soupy.

I remember you posting about your sister-in-law before, probably about helping to move her and her family into their new home.

It's going to be a tough time for you all.

Take care.

I'd like to thank everyone for their condolences, I've passed them on to Mike.
Mags was brought into the church this evening and her funeral is tomorrow 9.30

PS I'll be wearing my Docs tomorrow, at Mags request its not a sombre black tie funeral. The men are all going to wear daft ties, Baby Dragon her " tartan" converse, Mags will leave the church to the strains of her favourite football club tune

now which docs?

So sorry to hear your sad news Soupy.
Hope all goes well for the funeral tomorrow.
Thinking of you and your family.
Think the black " Docs" with the purple flowers would be nice!
Why be scared????

Thought that too. Mags liked flowers.
I did get some new docs yesterday, very flowery but they're not broken in yet, think tomorrow will be painful enough without sore feet

So sorry to hear your news SD, will think of you all tomorrow. I've had my own sorrows recently but will put that on another thread as it doesn't seem appropriate to do so here.
