That happened to me over London...even the travel-hardened businessmen got a fright!! It was blowing a gale and I think we were one the last flights allowed in.... :pale:

The same thing happened to myself and son of PoP. Perfect flying conditions in broad daylight and suddenly, without any warning whatsoever, we dropped like a stone for what seemed like minutes but was probably only 4 or 5 seconds.

Drinks and everything hit the roof and red wine was running along the luggage racks dripping down everybody's neck. No one was bothered and there was loud laughter all round, which roughly translated meant "I thought I was going to die and I have just **** myself". 8)

Had to do an emergency landing at Heathrow, once. Apparently the landing gear had frozen up and only came down at the last minute. We were surrounded by loads of fire engines and were on a remote runway, had to be bussed in to the main terminal. An exciting end to the Christmas holidays on the way back to college

..........and no I'm not afraid of flying, but I am afraid of going to the hairdressers

Like TG I dont like hairdressers, it's something about sharp impliments where I cant see

I also dislike heights but can cope with flying, just.
Don't like being on boats ( heights again, just filled with water)

Strange as it may seem, I was cycling furiously along the prom the other day, head down and really going for it, when I became aware of something rather unusual

I don't like spinning washing machines  . I prefer to leave the room and shut the door until it's done it's 1000 revs. I also don't like drills for the same (inexplicable) reason. Flying I can handle but only for a max of 4 hours then I want down :?
Enough of your nonsense - get back to the Play Pen!
