Nevertheless, on an occasional summer's evening as I stroll about the prom or hang over a random wall, chatting, I feel the urge for just one more tab, to smoke in an ironically calm, reflective manner. How bizarre to still feel that way, however fleetingly.

Smoking
It's over 19yrs since I gave up the evil weed, having tried every variety known to man, and having started at a stupidly tender age. (You can still here me coughing my way towards you on almost any given October day)

My Dad who smoked for 50 years said that it was sucumbing to the odd "Mr Magnolia" moment that started him off smoking full time again after a successful period of abstinence. The only way he eventually managed to stop was knowing that he will have the occssional longings for the rest of his life but dare not light a tab.
Justice delayed is justice denied.
I've had the ocassional lapse after a few drinkies, but it's never made me want to go full-time again. Quite the opposite. Especially when I think of the money that not smoking saves!!Pal of Porty wrote:My Dad who smoked for 50 years said that it was sucumbing to the odd "Mr Magnolia" moment that started him off smoking full time again after a successful period of abstinence. And I'm glad to say that even when "stressed" and stone cold sober, I've never wanted a ciggie. Odd but true!
