Easter Weekend

Post by Epykat » 05 Apr 2007, 20:43

So, apart from making yourself sick on chocolate stolen from the kids (or, in Scoop's case since they were £1 a pop at Asda she bought 25 and ate almost all of them) what are you peeps up to this weekend?

My best drinking buddy (not Marya, she's only about third on the list :D )and I decided to go away for the weekend. In the absence of a passport on my part (forgot to renew it - it wasn't confiscated in Budapest :? ) we've had to do British. Two bottles of wine later, our judgment was clouded and before we knew it we had booked up to go to Liverpool  . So, tomorrow morning bright and early we're off to sample the delights of the worst accent in Britain and a bowl of scouse. I'm really looking forward to it. No, honest, I am.
Enough of your nonsense - get back to the Play Pen!

Working :(

Don't get Fri or Mon off, and even going in Saturday as it's a busy time of year for us so there's an abundance of work to do.

Still, at least the traffic will be quiet in the morning.

Friday night I'm baby-sitting and staying overnight as I'm of to a horse show at Oatridge with Sarah (can't wait). I'm helping her load her Eriskay pony into the trailer and off we go. Will get home on Saturday afternoon.

Aaaargh spent the morning in Tesco getting our and my mum's messages.
My car has been off the road so as Mr Soupy had the day off used his car, the idea being I'd be back in time to let him go fishing. Oh dear.
Seems the whole world and their noisy kids were there!

Think I'm taxi driver tommorrow night as 2 youngest going out, then Easter day off to ma in laws for lunch.

Excuse me, first of all they were from Sainsburys which is a better class of fat, and second, they were BOGOF so I got 24, or was it 26? Either way, you had 12 or 13.

Yep. It was aggravated by being around animals (all year round allergy, for me). I also slept over at Sarah's the night before (feather pillows).
Sarah has two dogs, a cat, two ponies and two horses. She also has chickens.

We actually did have a great time and met some very.....er......interesting people. My partner in crime had the dubious honour of being propositioned by a pensioner who offered her one of his two remaining viagra and a good time. Happily she declined or I would have been left with the guy who offered me 'gear'. I told him I didn't do much sport and new trainers would be an extravagance. In another 5 years or so Liverpool might be worth another visit. Unfortunately much of what they were already advertising hasn't been built yet

Well I had a lovely week-end away visiting my Mum in Huntly.Did quite a bit of work in her garden and erected her dovecote which we gave her for Christmas so that should keep us in her good books for a while. :D
We always go for a wee wildlife drive when up there and the highlight this week-end was being told where there was an ospreys nest. We managed to find it but not a sighting of the birds so will go looking next time we're up.

I've been to see them too Arachnid, they are back again this year.
The ospreys nest is not at a visitors centre, just some local people "in the know" which makes it a bit more exciting somehow.

Just back this morning from the Netherlands and the Centre Parc at Het Heijderbos in the Maas valley. The weather was great so have my usual sunburnt nose. It was very flat so have a sore backside from all that cycling and tackled 'the fastest wild water rapids' in the swimming dome so sore everything really. Oh well, Grolsch was 80p so it helped numb the pain 8)

Hope no one( bad people that is) else knows where they are and that they're left alone and at peace to breed!

We have quite a few buzzards through this way. Never used to see any, but in the past few years they've become quite a common sight!
