local window cleaner

hello

can anyone reccommend a good local window cleaner? There used to be a guy that came round once a month but I've not seen him for about 1 year!!

hence my windows are filthy and i hate doing them myself!

Thats useful information for me too! I wonder if we had the same guy Michelle. I am on Bath st, and the guy we had did it 1 x a month too. Disappeared around about Xmas time for us though..... very mysterious! Have been meaning to call him for ages to see what is going on.

i never had a number for the window cleaner that used to come....he just appeared once in a while and then....vanished.....!

Thanks Porty, I'll try that number but if its Jewel they weren't interested in doing second floor flat

as tried them before.

I had great windowcleaner but can't get hold of him - hopefully he didn't fall off the windowsills

and was a bargain at Â£8 for 5 windows, let me know how you get on Michelle (we too are in Malborough St)

We use a chap called Frank for our 2nd floor, Marlborough Street windows. His number is 660 4489.

Think we're going to have him phone him too. This goddamn sunny weather is showing up the filth on ours.

We use a guy called Donny 07814069325. He is ok (think he is scared of heights!) He will do 2nd floor and upwards from inside house, prices vary (we get 5 windows cleaned outside only for Â£5)

resurrecting this thread as we never did get round to getting a window cleaner and our windows are VERY dirty, which is very apparent when the sun is beaming into our flat

So, can anyone recommend someone that can do first floor flats on Bath Street?

You will be spoilt for choice as most window cleaners can do first floor flats its second floor upwards it gets difficult

I could do with a window cleaner too, first floor flat.
I know I could probably attempt it myself as the bottom bit of the windows swing in but to do the top half means leaning out and i hate heights

thanks for the info. Any idea of a number to call or how much they cost? our last window cleaner seemed really cheap in comparison with other people that we have phoned up to ask (hence the very long delay in finding a window cleaner!). Desperation stage has hit now though, so guess we would pay a bit more done just to be able to see out the windows

Jewel's number is 657 1565, but I just grabbed a bloke while he was cleaning my neighbour's window and asked him to do mine too, so that's how I found them

Not sure how they calculate costs but I pay Â£4 for 3 of the windows. Good luck!

we use Jewel as well , they are great , nothing is a bother , they do a fab job and if you are not in when they call you just leave your money in an envelope at the card shop portobello stationers near findlays ,the no is 07971496361, they do our 1st floor no probs , he takes £5.50 for 3 big windows cheers hope this helps
