Passed my driving test!
Passed my driving test!
Strewth - that was a long slog.
Took my first driving test today and passed - but you don't want to know how much I've spent on lessons.
Mrs Dadaist was pregnant with Neo-Dadaist when I started learning.
Neo-Dadaist will be 3 next May. The L plates on my car will need to be blasted off somehow. Great thing is all the no-claims bonus I've accrued as a learner.
I was starting to get nervous, because the test format changes next year (reverse park is into a supermarket-style space), plus I would have had to do the theory test again as it runs out every two years.
I am now going to drink beer and whisky.

Congratulations. I'm sure your driving instructor can afford to retire happily now.

Congratulations!
Passed first time!
Which driving school did you use?
Got 2 kids with provisional licences. ( You want to see what that did to my insurance premiums)
I've been taking Clangers 1 and 2 around the derelict area in Niddrie to get them used to a car but think they need a little more instruction than their mum saying , yes, forward, (fixed smile, grit teeth) turn at the burnt out car ( grinding of teeth ), go straight past the cr*pping dog. Now try changing gear, No, the engine isn't supposed to make that noise .......

Thanks all for your thanks. Have had no whisky yet but more than enough beer. 80' and Cobra. Hic.
I'm now learning that all the people who before used to intone the mantra "so have you got a test date yet?" now intone the mantra "well you start learning now, have you been out on your own yet?"
No pleasing some folks. Hic.

BM - Tell him I got 4 minors.
My mock test lasted an hour beforehand. Half an hour into my test I thought to myself - "halfway through now, must try not to get any more minors" and to my great surprise, we turned off the road into the test centre and he told me I'd passed!
I thought driving tests lasted the same time as lessons.

Well done Dada! Obviously, all the best people pass first time (
). And don't worry ever again about reversing round corners. NOBODY reverses round a corner the way they were taught. If we did, we would all take so long reversing round corners that we would never go forwards
Enough of your nonsense - get back to the Play Pen!
