Porty re-takes the lead

Post by Dadaist » 10 Dec 2006, 10:35

Oh well. I don't know if my posts as "Surrealist" were more than his as "Stephen Mcintyre" but, at time of writing, Porty is just 7 posts away from re-capturing the top spot.

I'm not going to enter into a Cleo/Epykat style posting frenzy just to maintain an artificial lead.

Time will show who had the most Roy Castle (dedication) before running out of puff, but for now it looks like POL's #1 poster - no doubt a dubious honour to the likes of Tom "Blue" Nimmo - and arch gossip & tittle-tattler - will be none other than community representative Porty.

Hail Ceasar.

Oh?? "Posting Frenzy"??? Should I feel insulted, Dada?? Pray tell, what was so "frenzied" about my posting? Heck ... you even called me a "wimp" for not posting as much as Epykat!!!

Does it really matter who posts the most? Yes, I post a fair wee bit ... but I'm a loudfinger (?) with a big opinionated mouth who can't shut up! I deserve a go at me now and again (within the guidelines), but ...

You and Porty are virtually unassailable in your lofty positions, anyway. By the time I, or anyone under the 2000 mark reach your dizzying heights ... you and Porty will still be ahead of the rest of us. Probably on a million or so each and only playing with each other (so to type!).

If you're taking each other on at it ... may the best poster win!!! I like you both! :D

This is true. But, I seem to be a lot younger than many of you on this forum, by the look of it.

I have very little history so far. :)

8) I don't know what you mean, boys. :^o

Cleopas, I look exactly like my new avatar. So you turn straight if you like. Not sure what good it would do you, but I believe in freedom of sexual choice. *cough*

Stop sniggering, the rest of you. [-X

Yeah ... well ... I kinda figured that after Ali's comment!

The impulse to turn straight was purely momentary I can assure you. My "urges" are just fine ..... especially after my visit to my bank this morning and the teller was the image of Keanu Reeves when he was in Bill and Ted. I gave him a big smile ... and my heart. I plan to ask him if he'd like his own personal stalker. :D

The sniggerers need a slap or two I think. Go get 'em, girl! Go postal on them!!! :D

Oi! My "posting frenzy" was a direct result of my self imposed exile and a momentary blip of excitement at being back. I will resume posting in my usual, interesting, informative and tittle tattly manner just as soon as the novelty of being back wears off

This year I'm going to try and get the proportions of lager & poppadoms versus everything else a bit more balanced that at Bone-Awful.

I'm waiting and watching with baited breath. They're both good posters (unlike a certain individual who shall remain nameless ... well, okay ... me!) and it's too close to call I think.

Is this POLs own X-Factor race on now? Dada or Porty? Who's goiung to be the top poster by tonight's end?

Is there a book running on this ... can I place an each way bet on both? :D
