The joys of moving house!

HOORAY!!! My new brand new fully guaranteed 28" TV has arrived from Comet!!! So happy after trying to watch that TINY 21" my parents gave me a hundred years ago.

My 32" TV failed to operate two weeks after moving (first computer then TV ... am I lucky or wot?) ... Since the warranty had run out and the engineer said he could have it fixed, but it would cost £105 quid and the parts are only guaranteed for 3 months ... he advised dumping it. So the council took it away.

Which left me with my small bedroom TV ... till today!

Now I can SEE everything without binoculars ... and watch my video or DVD which couldn't plug into said tiny TV ... and I can watch FINALLY ... the dozen DVDs I bought a few months ago!!

Why is life so complicated??

I'm now waiting on an emergency electrician ... because my smoke detector decide to go off 15 minutes ago and it won't stop. I don't smoke ... and the heating's not on yet ... so I have no idea why this is happening. People are complaining and I've explained it doesn't have a battery ... it's hard wired into the mains. Concierge can't find how to put it off either.

My head is really sore now from that incessant, high pitched peep!

Funny ... the only thing that got broken in the move was a small mirror.

Do you think that was significant??

Oh hurry up Mr Sparks!!!!

Looks like the mirror was the warning

What you have to ask is the house got a ghost maybe it doesn't like you moving in

Burning sage is supposed to rid rooms of negative energy. At least you won't have to worry about setting off the smoke detector if you try this.

Still no sign of emergency electrician, re my misfiring smoke alarm. Just phoned up again and been told emergency cover can take up to 36 hours to deal with ...

Shocking, innit!!!

I have to wait in for the spark's arrival! So I'm NOT a happy bunny!

Maybe ... but I'm not paying out any more when I should've been covered already. I've been in touch with solicitor who did the conveyancing this morning. Discovered my kitchen and hall lights not working late last night ...

Someone is going to suffer for this iniquity ... and it's NOT going to be me. I'm now reaching for my ancestral assegai ....
