The JP 500 posts appreciation thread

Post by Maria » 20 Nov 2006, 20:16

Following Dadaist's example I've decided to toss caution to the wind and risk JP's premature death to start a thread marking this important landmark post for JP, who will soon be officially potty.

His uncanny and unnatural resemblance to Roger Twongle aside, JP continues to amaze us all with his wisdom and wit. Fortunately, he has ceased to offer cookery tips.

Any rumours that JP used subtle mind control techniques to con me into initiating this tribute are entirely true.

Well, well. It's not often "JP" and "subtle" appear in the same sentence!! :P :P :P

IVs taste in music + Porty's argumentativeness + Moi's satire + JP's grasp of the surreal mean that I could retire any time and youse would be in safe hands.

If anyone hasn't listened to the Roger Twongle podcast, please do so now as a tribute to the man and his work (the work of cricket dream analysis, a particularly sticky wicket) :

Also, the rib-tickling, stomach churning Fusion (Ninja Cookery movie) :

I have met JP for real. Stick that in your "danced with a girl" thread and smoke it.

Yes, homage is due. There are a few scary heids here on POl but JP's is scary in a very positive and entertaining way. He was an obvious star from the word go and he has not disappointed.

I agree Rapunzall, he's tantalising isn't he? He shows a bit and leaves us wanting more!

Congrats JP (where ARE you by the way?) although I'm pretty sure you don't need 500 of anything to make you potty  . In tribute, I have to say your Ninja Cookery Film was singularly the funniest thing I have seen in a very long time but closely followed by the ridiculous CD you gave to Rathbone (which has now been in my handbag since July by the way.........hint.......see you Ormelie - Friday  )

PS, you can bring Ali with you if you like, we know he doesn't get out much
Enough of your nonsense - get back to the Play Pen!

Sound problems now fixed(ish) ... but enough to view and hear JP's Ninja Cookery.

All I can say is that JP is completely certifiable ... which I am also ... as no doubt several others on this forum are too (D2).

Admin should have some kind of graded ribbon award for things like this. And I nominate JP for a gold one cos he deserves the highest accolade ... for accomplishments way and above the standard levels of nincompoopery.

I'de better have a listen to RFP now ... see what all the fuss is about.

I think you have frightened him off with this big build-up and premature congratulation, resulting in performance anxiety. I wouldn't be suprised if we never hear from him again. Beauty is a fragile thing you know.

No way. I think this is the perfect build up and JP a big time player. What ever his next post is, it's going to be worth the wait. JP I believe in you, I need to believe in you.

Hello. My name’s Nelson. Nelson Hatstand. That name might sound familiar, that’s cos JP mentioned it in another thread. He was always doing that, stealing ideas off other people and passing them off as his own.

I’m an old mate of his, and I’ve got some news - JP’s not going to post any more. You’ll have noticed that he hasn’t posted all that much over the last few months. After the operation, it was like his zest for life had just disappeared. He spends most of his time staring into space, dribbling a bit, and listening to “Songs Of Kristoffersonâ€
