That is so true. I thought Bob would have a beard and be older than he is. And I had no idea who Marya was even though she lives at the end of my street. I was thrown when they approached me.

It was only recently that I found out gemini's real name, although we had shred smiles and laughs on many occasions. I miss her posting here.

Think I may have missed I possible spladoosh the other day. I was at a meeting at Edinburgh City Council's Sports department on Wednesday and the guy next to me was the secretary of the golf club. I know this because the gold club/school debat was brought up. Does the guilty part reside on this forum?

Hooray!!! I was pleasantly spladooshed by Teddygirl today. We exchanged familiar smiles, although i didn't have a clue whom i was smiling at familiarly. A passing comment about the weather and then she uttered the magical spladoosh word. It was a nice warm meeting on a freezing cold day.

Thanks, Porty it was a pleasant spladooshing for me too and long overdue.I could have done it yonks ago but my custom is to slink by people and pretend I don't know them. If you hadn't spoken today I would have probably scuttled on by as usual. I must try harder to overcome my shyness
