Post by arachnid » 24 Oct 2006, 20:53

Mr. Arachnid and I were up at the Almondvale in Livingston this afternoon for a little browse and what should we see adorning the shopping centre but all the lovely Christmas decorations!!! And on the way out the car park what else did we see to surprise us?? They were also putting the Christmas tree up!!! Now it probably isn't, but this must be one of the earliest decorated Christmas shopping centres this year!!! Unless anyone knows otherwise!!!!

Confirmed. It was doubly weird because it was still sunny outside! There were piles of scented pine-cones which had been drenched in cinnamon and the entire Xmas section was reekin.

I was playing only Christmas songs on iTunes loudly yesterday. I think it might have annoyed the others in the office

That's another thing, as well as Christmas, that get earlier every year too - magazine subscriptions. Seems they send them 2-3 months before the month they're actually in respect of - always confuses me to get a January issue in November, have to stop myself rushing out the door to stand next to Police clock to wish everyone "Happy New Year".

WAY. Granton Medway to be precise

They were the same last year, had dropped Clanger no1 at her friends around Halloween and noticed the lights. I drove past twice to check I wasn't imagining it. At first I thought it might be to celebrate another religion's festival but it's a bit late for all the ones I can thinks of.

Are those lights on the roof of the old JET Garage on the High Street (now used as a car wash) meant to be Christmas lights?

A huge Christmas tree lot appears every year next to the park where I live. I rummage through the dump bin of it, gathering large pine branches then bring them home so I can make a massive wreath covered with Xmas decorations which hangs over my double-front doors. I’ve won the blue ribbon for "Best Threshold" every year. My neighborhood goes all out. Thousands of people come from miles around to see the glitz.

Residents walk the neighborhood with their friends and kids. Of course, the adults sip wine or guzzle cocktails while strolling along as they pop in and out of a friend's home for more! By the end of the night, we're toasted. :D

Welcome back Cleopas!

Marguerite's location is incorrect - she was banned from the RFP forum ages ago.

Dunno. It's almost impossible to get banned from POL. You must have been really naughty on RFP.

Oh yes you have.

Coffee and orange juice?

If that's not wrong, then tell me what is.

Dadaist, I was kind and thoughtful to you on RFP. However, ever since I joined POL you have failed to be nice to me. Why have you decided to ban me from RFP when you were the one asking me to join RFP? I don't understand the logic of "your" decision.
