A fishy tale

Post by Maria » 13 Oct 2006, 15:21

Spotted this in today's EN. Did you fall for the scam, hook, line and sinker? Made to feel like a total prawn?

Over to you Porty and Dada...

"The fish were thought to have been frozen and defrosted, rather than fresh, but the woman suffered no illness."

Christ thats unbelivebale. My mum is really ill at the moment, if only she had had some of that fish.

John Williamson fishmonger says "I've never heard of people getting fish over the phone and I would just tell them to stick to the shops ...."

I have a feeling John is going to regret this bit of advice. i just had a look out the window and it seems that a few people have followed John's advice. Woodwares has sold out of superglue and there's people stuck to most of the shops I can see.

"A woman felt forced into spending £300 on fish"...I can honestly say I have never felt that compulsion...even if my entire family came round for tea on a Friday, the most I could be forced into spending would be about a tenner.....now shoes maybe

"fish over the phone" sounds like a winner for a website. And when returning customers call you could have "Cod only Knows" by the Beach Boys whilst they are waiting or maybe sometihing by Eels.
