Magic mushrooms and milk

Sometimes I amaze myself with dumb thoughts. When reality finally takes over and I realise how dumb the thought was, I'm still proud of it even though it was patently daft.

The first one I would like to highlight happened a long time ago. I was walking down Leith Walk very early and saw a young lad drinking a bottle of milk - which seemed odd cos the shops weren't open yet. I thought to myself "that's nice to see someone drinking milk. it will be very healthy for him". I don't remember how long it took before it dawned on me that he had probably nicked it off someone's doorstep.

The second one happened today. Someone pointed out that it's mushie season and that the psilocybin heads are out in the environs of London Road.

I had seen them, but thought they were looking for conkers. I was glad that people were still playing the old sport and hoped they found a good sixer - as opposed to being knocked for.

You can tell its magic season by the plethora of thread titles we've had already today. Its just like the old days.

There wasn't much shouting but there was oodles of outing but your right its all gone quiet over there.

He'll have something worthwhile for us to do with our time when he gets back. You know what they say - when the founder and former moderator who is still the administrator is away, the remaining users who frequent the general discussion forum will play.

The nutritional value of milk does not depend whether you have paid for it or not but I am glad you thought it was nice. I do too..........

We just started getting milk delivered. This nice man came round the door and, rather than offering for me to switch my gas and electricity to come from Scottish Piezo-Electric or whoever, simply introduced himself as coming from Yester Dairies in Gifford and asked if we wanted our milk delivered. Yes please, we said - and it's been wonderful.
