Radio Free Porty - Latest Update and Fundraising !!!

Hello - sorry about the hiatus between our World Cup playlist and normal service - we've now got rid of the football and have almost 8 hours of new music from :

AmericanaOK : The prolific maestro presents his 12th set to RFP.

Atop : Cody from Houston gives us 80 minutes of loveliness.

Halfwise : Demo album from Julie Dawid

Ines : Her 2nd set of sweet music!

Megadom : Surprise 3rd set from Megadom with some choice picks

Mop : Local demos from Bath Street's finest

Rathbone : Songs For Foreign Listeners

Skeely : Always nice to have a new DJ - Skeely's web page and graphic which came with his set are a treat - click here

So - many thanks to all who contributed to this current playlist.

Head on over to http://www.radiofreeporty.org and click on the "Listen Now" link

----------------------

** Fundraising **

The MCPS-PRS have now sent me the correct forms to fill in to sign up for a proper LOEL (Limited Online Exploitation License) which will cover us for 2006.

You may recall that we have already payed £75 of the £200 this license costs as part of an interim arrangement - the remainder of £125 is now due.

RFP current funds stand at £5 - meaning that between us we need to raise £120 asap.

I'll keep a running total of how much has been pledged on this page - but if you would like to contribute anything to this bill, please PM me with how much you'd like to give and I'll update on here accordingly with how much we still need.

Pledges : £120 ......................Still needed : £0

Ok, to whom do we make out the cheque? Does RFP have its own bank account? 8)

Thanks JP.

They have been sending me very nice, but increasingly pained messages - so I'm going to pay them tomorrow.

I can't currently get either Real One Player or Windows Media Player to accept RFP. All I get is a message saying "Unsupported document type http://1.eu.fast-serv.com:8380" (Real One) or "An error occurred" (WMP).

Similarly, every time I go into the site I notice that Rose Royce - Wishing On A Star is 'playing'. On the basis that it shouldn't be repeating itself within fifteen minutes, I assume that something is wrong.

I P.M.'d Dada who replied to say that he had fixed it, but not, it seems, on my server.

Is anyone else experiencing this problem
I have nothing to say and I'm going to say it.

Anyway, it's working okay today, so if you tweeked it Dada..... Thanks!

Isn't it time to change the record, so to speak. I'm bursting with creative ideas.

Would you like to run the station when my new baby arrives?

It was a reference to being allowed down off the naughty step by the moderators following my unfortunate use of an ***** word when replying to Impossible Voices.

OK here's the deal. During this period I want:

51% stake in the company.
Creative autonomy.
Editorial control.
All the other usual perks thrown in.

Sure thing. PM me and we'll arrange the handover.

You'll need a computer which is on 24/7 and has broadband.
