Dear Pol er's I was wondering if you could settle a dispute between Mrs. M and me. This is her favourite forum and I am sure she will take your views into consideration and thereafter allow me back into the house.


It concerns Young Winston who complained bitterly to me the other day, having been told to "Bog off", (not literally), when he telephoned Edinburgh's finest regarding chewing gum being stuck to his shoe. “Should he leave it on or take it off?â€
