All New Blue Bean Thread

I know that we already have a BBC thread but I confirm that it has now changed hands. The artist formerly known as Bean has been and gone. I wish him well.

I think it fair that we should have a seperate thread relating to the new BBC just as we do for most new eating establishments. Will it still be called the BBC?

It was closed when I walked past at lunch time. Saw a stranger letting himself in with keys. At the time I just assumed it was a workman.

Got a wee flyer through the door today for the BBC.

It makes special mention that kids are catered for.

Flyer also states that they are doing evening meals.."Tex-Mex" soon and it is BYOB which should appeal to some.
Just hope there is enough for business for both them and Sizzlers though.

I don't think it will be a problem for Sizzlers. They have had to turn away lots of people and are asking people to book at least a week in advance for a table. The owner of Sizzlers has a very positive attitude to it all, welcoming the competition and seeing as encouraging more people to this are to eat. Wouldn't it be great to have more of this here, perhaps all catering for different tastes, etc? The Figgate Whins could re-open as a child-friendly, non-smoking Bistro

. I wonder if their clients would notice

Yesterday, as part of my work

, I came across the Figgate Whins on the webite of the chain that owns it. The lease is up for grabs and the premises are to be refurbished, it says.

We went yesterday to sit outside and get a coffee at blue bean only to find out they had closed, at quarter to 4

on a Saturday?? Very disappointing
