Ever take the wrong decision?

Post by Porty » 22 Aug 2004, 18:04

My business partner and I went to visit New York for the first time, 3 Years ago. We were only in the City itself for 2 days and nights as we were going upstate for the other 3 days. We were sitting in Deli in Rockefeller Plaza having morning coffee and this young researcher comes up and asks if we want to be in the audience for David Lettermann.

We look at each other and say Na we are only here for 2 days and don't want to sit in a Studio in the height of summer. Later that night we arrive back at our Hotel switch on the TV. Lettermann is on and it was shot that very day. Its the top of the show and DL is excited because he has Bruce Springsteen and the ESB on to play 3 songs from The Rising. We are both massive Bruce fans and were already gutted as he was beginning The Rising tour in MSG the very day we were leaving. What a pair of Aztec Bars!! We didnt even think to ask who would be on the show.

Never mind wrong decisions, I'd say you had a lucky escape!
I just don't get Bruce. I can listen to Nebraska and not much more.
The sight of him posturing on stage annoys me intensely.

Seriously though, as a fan of his you must have been gutted.
