Scottish Cup semi-final, Gretna v Dundee, live from Hampden, BBC 1, kick-off 12:15.
My home-town, Gretna, with a population of some 2700 are, astonshingly, one game away from the Scottish Cup final against either Hearts or Hibs. What's more, they are favourites to beat Dundee today and if they do so, and Hearts finish above Rangers, then I think I'm right in saying that they will be playing in Europe next season!
Gretna play at Raydale Park, literally a stone's throw away from where I grew up. The greyhound racing track around the pitch used to attract bigger crowds than the football matches in those days. Now, they have already been installed as favourites to gain promotion to the SPL next season.
They will need a new SPL-compliant stadium first, so I was delighted to read this morning that an ambitious plan is now in place:

OK, a bit of a dodgy penalty decision but I thought they deserved their win. I'm off to the pub tomorrow to watch Hearts v Hibs. Apparently, for Gretna to play in the Eufa Cup we need Hearts to make the final and finish above Rangers, so no surprise who I will be supporting tomorrow.
Gretna for the cup? What odds would you have got at the start of the competition?
