can't get my avatar working - help!

Post by Dadaist » 28 Mar 2006, 14:59

Am I doing something wrong ?

i'm just trying to upload an avatar (which conforms to the dimension/size rules) and I get this :

If I've missed an announcement, posted this in the wrong place, done something else wrong or otherwise caused work, embarrassment, or any other negative emotion or consequence I apologise unreservedly, in full and in advance.

I was changing my avatar for no other reason than because I could.

This problem is not important or urgent in any way.

I recognize and appreciate the hard work done behind the scenes by our hardworking admins and would like to thank them - thank you very much indeed.

Same thing here - I have been avatar-less for the last few weeks.

It's really upsetting, isn't it?

It's like being beyond naked. Like being formless. I am so much more than just a username. I am also a small gif/jpg.

On another forum I frequent - they even let you be a shockwave.

I feel like a nothing
I know I'm a nobody
And that's about it,
A worthless, useless
Piece of shit

Portobello Online wishes to apologise for this temporary loss of service.

I'm sure that wangi will be along soon with a perfectly reasonable explanation. In the meantime, here's some nice music:

Nice music

edit - how about that for service?

It was an amazing service, but that recital music really added a bit of hogmanay cheer.

Does anyone like my poison frog?

So, who fixed it? Who done the "chmod 777" on the avatars directory... Because I didn't :)

Well, thanks to whoever fixed it.

All I need now is a name for my caustic frog.
