Post by nads » 14 Nov 2005, 20:20

without sounding like the dumb blonde that I am, I want to buy my hubby a satellite navagation for the car around the £300 mark, has anybody got one that they can recommend or know of any good deals? thanks in advance.

My brother has a business selling that sort of thing. His name is Russell and his home phone number is 0131 657 1230 he lives in Porty.

He retails and installs.

I think his web address might be www.parkmyauto.com or .co.uk but he has a couple of sites dedicated to different gear.
He also does loads of other in-car stuff, he should keep you right.

Nads, I'm sure you know your husband, and like most blokes I'm a sucker for a gadget, but £300 for what is basically an electronic map? Give me a £1:99 AA map and £298:01 change and I would be delighted.

Mind you, I resent every penny I spend on my car - especially the £60 excess it is going to cost to have my windscreen replaced tomorrow. Don't ask.

GPS rocks. BB & I were in a taxi the other night with a £350 GPS unit.

Absolutely beautiful 3d display. 10 years ago this technology would either have been unavailable, or cost thousands.
