Thursday November 11th. POL/FR get together

Post by Porty » 08 Nov 2004, 21:52

Sticky bob?

Pal of Porty and Porty invite the Babes, the Posse and the Maryauders to a get together at our office commencing at 7pm and with the intention of winding up around 10-1030 and then retiring to Dalraida.

We will put on some wine to start the evening off and invite everyone to BYOB, we shall also provide basic nibbles but you'll have had yir tea.

The ostensible purpose for this get together is to complete the FR promotion and we WILL. The real occassion should be the chance to meet everyone and to celebrate POL.

The location is:

The Mortgage People
216 Portobello High Street
Next door to Global Video at the foot of Windsor Place

see you all there

Porty, i don't know what's going on between you two but I think that's too much to share.

What? I only meant it seemed like he'd been eating jam doughnuts and I confess, I was jealous.

Hey all,

I am totally new to this site (just joined today) and would be grateful on any further developments on the night out.

I once read that Portobello reminded an American author (name I forget) of Venice Beah in L.A. hte people, the vibe....

Just thought I would mention....

Is everyone invited / welcome to this or is it just the manic FR emailers?

Yes, well.....being one of the more sensible members of the group I at least managed to make it to bed before I fell asleep! Although, after half a dozen glasses of half a dozen different kinds of wine ( ) it was such a deep sleep that I had to go upstairs this morning just to make sure COC had actually made it home. You lot should be ashamed of yourselves plying young girls with drink all night (I meant COC not me! ) Was great to meet you all though and really looking forward to the Xmas night out.
Enough of your nonsense - get back to the Play Pen!

I didn't think the kitchen floor looked that comfortable........half on the hall floor and half on the toilet floor was far more appealing to me

Only just starting to feel more human now!

All in all, a very 'tiring and emotional' evening

You did slightly better than me, Sandra - after I got in, I fell backwards into the empty bath :drunken: I woke up in bed the next morning, and wondered how I had a bruised back! :( Then I had to get myself to Furness with a backpack - and functioning on about half a cylinder :sleepy2:

Oh, and I lost a glove somewhere between Porty's office and 'The Plough' ...

But it was a great evening and it was really nice to meet everyone :thumbright: \:D/ :occasion5:

Look forward to Christmas .............

Btw, I did wear my POL t-shirt in Barrow, but it was so cold, I had to keep my jacket zipped up outside - and no-one bagged me in any of the pubs.

It is a year ago today since the inaugural POL get together. Oh, how a year has flown by.

Hells Cat, Cornerboy, Jay. Were have they gone?

Dada and BB couldn't make it as Emily was ill. The idea was to do the FR campaign, none of which got done.

WOW a year! :o

I was just telling someone at work today what a fantastic wine night we'd had in Porty's shop that night and how Jay had gone home and fallen asleep in the bath!
