Definitely Mum. At least there is dig money on offer in your house, something I have doubts of ever seeing, despite the youngest member of the TG family starting a job today and Mr Spoon is going to be the eternal student I think.

They really are on another planet...........

Do you charge a flat rate or a percentage of income? Should this be declared for taxation purposes? I see a whole minefield ahead here. Your duties as a landlord/lady, your tenant's rights, health and safety issues etc. It's a whole can of worms and other wriggly things with a variety of number of legs.

a) He has no rights - he's a teenage boy
b) His health is of the utmost importance to me - I tell him to clean his
teeth every morning and night.
c) The only safety issues are of his own making - if he catches salmonella
from the dishes in his room it's his own fault.
