Last month I hinted at Catch 22 as the summer holiday read, but we still have:
Buddha Da
Cloud Atlas
English Passengers
Only Say a Word
Tuesdays With Morrie
on the suggestion list and new suggestions are always welcome.
The August Big Read
The August Big Read
I have nothing to say and I'm going to say it.

I've not long started reading that one with Dan.bearcub wrote: How about 'Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince'.......
I think it may take some time.........
Catch 18 doesn't have quite the same ring to it, but that was the original title, changed by the publishers when they discovered that Leon Uris was about to publish Mila 18.
There is only one catch and that is Catch 22.
It's over twenty years since I read it last and it hasn't aged a bit. In fact, given recent foreign policy, the satire can be transposed to almost any part of the world where the allies are engaged and still ring true.
As readers of another thread will be aware, Catch 22 is that I loaned my copy to Mr. Epykat and so the following assessment has had to come from him:
" The larvae tunnel into the carrot roots. Symptoms of damage are reddening and wilting of the foliage. In dry weather seedlings may be killed. Before sowing dress the seeds with lindane and water spray strength trichlorphon or bromophos into the soil in mid May and end July."
I think he was reading Catch 18.
