Business Directory A to Z

I am a little confused by the A to Z page - http://porty.org.uk/businesses/index.php?title=atoz

It seems to start at A and then start at A again later on? Is it just me?

Is it not supposed to be like that? The search facility on my mobile does the same. Speaking of which I still havent been able to suss out the POL search facility?

You click B and then scroll all the way to Z and then there are more?!?!?

Not for me. I click on B or indeed any letter and nothing happens.

Ed - you should change your business name to "A Web Man Walking" so that you are found at the start of the directory!

You're right Ed. There does seem something amiss. However, the LBD is a work very much 'in progress' at the moment so it may be down to that.

The A to Z was originally just that, then we reordered it as a-z paid to reward those good folk that have paid for a listing and then a to z for those that haven't.
Thus if you use the internal alphabetical link at the top of the page ie W it goes to Web Man Walking, not Warners, because they have coughed and warners have not (to my knowledge)
Logical enough?
Its the sales side that takes up the time, when we've got everyone that wants to pay, we'll tidy things up

type in "mortgage" and press return or select the search button
Youll get this list:
* Businesses
o Edinburgh Independent Mortgage Centre
o Evolution Mortgages
o Mortgage Advice Shop
o Mortgage People, The
Its pretty basic but it works fine for a site this size, will be refined as we go along
Haven't done any testing on an electronic mobile telephone so far, though we try to be as standards compliant as possible. Something to consider for the future as I definitely think they're going to catch on.
