...Anyone lend me any *interesting* books about it? Doesn't have to be text books, although anything on counselling/psychotherapy for it would be great - interesting memoirs would be handy too.

er, no, but Tony 'donkey' Adams wrote a personal account of his life as an addict (football and booze) at some point in the past called, er, addicted

sorry I don't have a copy...

George Best has also written an autobiography. Bound to be some thoughts on the subject in there... even though one or two chapters might be missing. :drunken:

Thanks for the suggestions, guys. I watched the film 28 Days with Sandra Bullock and have started reading James Frey's A Million Little Pieces. Scary stuff. :shock:
