I was just posting what Oscar said, ever since he was allowed outside. He seems to be speaking in some sort of pigeon english or "catois".
Funny thing was after about 4 hours of "frontin" against the cats in the neighbouring garden during which he had to "reprezeeeent" against at least two of them (after which he said "I RULE LIKE KUNG FU"), he came home for a cuddle and cried for his whiskas, then fell asleep next to Beach Babe.

I wish our black cat was as straightforward. We are living with passive aggressive peeing all over our kitchen cupboards (drop by for a cuppa anytime!) all because a tiny little pretty grey cat has taken to dropping by.
Keating could sit on her and she would never walk again - but no, he's all companionable silence as she explores our yard and then it's in to whizz on the furniture.
I have now placed foil on the spots where he goes, which seems to work.
As to his 'catois' it must be: 'oh, by all means old chap, do come and take this spot in the sun. Oh no, no, no - no trouble at all, anytime, make yourself at home. Nibbles?'
I can't believe it - he comes from Fife! How did this happen?

Inspired by Oscar's voyage of discovery I let Marco out for the first time this evening. He had fun exploring and saw off a tortoise shell cat that normally hangs out in our garden with a very firm "Gerroff my laand!", albeit with a Dunfermline twang.
He's now lying flat on his back, legs spread wide, showing a distinct lack of modesty I must say!

So far we have :
------------------------------------
Oscar - Jamaican drug lord.
Keating - Upper-class Fifer.
Marco - Farmer.
------------------------------------
Seems to me that dogs have owners but cats have servants!

You also have :
Selma - go on rub my tummy, please, please, please, purr, purr - ha, gotcha you sucker.

.........totally unique and never to be repeated, and
Eddie - I love you to death and want to live with you Selma, please don't batter me........
(he stole my fish net the other day. All we could see was the net bouncing along among the plants

It's now lost

Enough of your nonsense - get back to the Play Pen!

Needless to say, Chester was Lord Chester of Marlborough. With the merest whiff of fishwife.

Keating has a sister - Matilda - who is all fur coat and nae knickers, not that she deigns to dally with anyone. She was quite possibly a Mitford sister in a previous life or Fife equivalent. Monstrously elegant, as only a goddess can be.
You are right, Keating is a completely lovely chap, and literally would not hurt a fly. (He communes with our fish by rubbing his nose against the fishtank - they come over and blow bubbles at him).
