I know I have threatened it a few times, but I feel we are now very close to an official launch.

For one thing the Local Business Directory is proving to be very successful. We still have a long way to go but we now have 32 businesses signed up, earning us Ã‚Â£640 to date. This has already paid for the Town Hall banner, the digital voice recorder and will enable us to carry out further promotional activity and to improve our web hosting service. It might also buy a few bottles of wine for our launch party.

Meanwhile, behind the scenes the last pieces of the content management system are being assembled and we should soon be able to add new content and to bash into shape some of our dodgier pages.

A launch party will take a lot of careful organisation to be successful, so I am looking for a team of volunteers to assist me. I already have a number of ideas and I'm sure you have too. Please pm me before I pm you!
