In the Money

Post by Poppy » 01 May 2005, 18:19

This will be of great interest to those who paid for a Statutory Repair 1988-1998 - especially those who have moved since. Luckily I saw this article in the EN online and wrote to the person who bought my old flat to let him know where I was. I got the papers by return of post - he'd been wondering how to contact me becuase the letter was addressed to a wrong spelling of my previous name

Glad I did - several hundred smackers to be claimed in VAT and almost the same again in interest (once I get together all the papers I need to prove that it was me who paid the £3000 back in 1992)!! :evil3:

Now thats interesting - I wonder what the position is for people who were foolish enough to organise and pay for the repairs directly to a contractor?
