Sad I know!
Anyway cast your vote, you can say who your voting for if you want or keep it to yourself.
I will make no secret that I am voting for Lib dems as usual.

SNP as always. I do think the Lib Dems will do quite well this time - so many disillusioned Labour and Conservative supporters. It's hard to tell these latter 2 parties apart.

In my opinion one of two things will happen (UK wide).
(i) Labour will win losing a bit of its majority to Tories and Lib dems.
(ii) It will be all change and we may have a situation where no party holds a majority which would be interesting.

I will definitely vote on Thursday but I am not yet 100% certain who for. I do know however it will never be for the SNP. If they get in up here I will be moving back to Newcastle!

Yes, a hung parliament would be fascinating although it would be bad if the Tories were able to get concessions.
That's interesting you think some of the Labour majority will be nibbled by Tory gains - perhaps in the marginals they have been concentrating on?
I dunno, but it could be a good night for the lib dems.

- Mev Brown - Conservative
Peter Clifford - Independent
Cara Gillespie - Scottish Green Party
Catriona Grant - Scottish Socialist Party
Brett Harris - Death, Dungeons & Taxes
Gordon Mackenzie - Liberal Democrat
Gavin Strang - Labour
Stefan Tymkewycz - SNP
2001 Result (notional): Won by LAB, majority 32.6%
Profile: This is the old Edinburgh East & Musselburgh constituency minus the five Musselburgh wards which go to East Lothian. The seat also includes three wards from Edinburgh Central and one ward from Edinburgh South. The constituency stretches from Leith along the Firth of Forth taking in the Victorian seaside resort of Portobello with its long sandy beach. In the north west it stretches into the Old Town and the city centre. It is now one of the most attractive urban seats in Britain with historical landmarks such as Edinburgh Castle, St Giles Cathedral, the Palace of Holyroodhouse and the controversial Scottish Parliament building, as well as Arthur's Seat. It takes in the south side of Princes Street with the Princes Street Gardens and the Scott Monument. The less attractive side is in the east with many tenements and the notorious Craigmillar estate which is undergoing radical redevelopment with the demolition, re-planning and rebuilding of the area. Socially the seat is very mixed, with tourism the main industry. It is also home to the Meadowbank Sports Stadium, which has hosted two Commonwealth Games. One of the Capital's two Premier League football teams, Hibernian FC, is in the constituency at the Easter Road stadium.
The BBC thanks Dr Aidan Thomson for assistance with the boundary changes to the Scottish constituencies. These first appeared on
www.alba.org.uk a Scottish politics almanac.

Are you thinking about Alastair Darling's seat perhaps?

I'm mulling it over. My gut feel is that I will go with Blair as he is the only one I feel we can trust with the Economy. We can't trust Michael with anything and it doesnt really matter if we can trust Charles or not. I'm with PoP on the anti SNP position. I'd rather side with the English than be independently Scottish.

Well here's an interesting fact, not too long ago there was a local election held in Dalkeith/Woodburn which has always been a Labour stonghold due to its industrial past. Anyway it was a shock victory for the Lib Dems!
