the McCartney family

So. The McCartney family were on my tv this evening and one of them looked at the camera and said "bullets and bombs are not the way forward. the way forward is through dialogue."

Fair enough, but this was before going in to meet George Bush.

Is this ironic or farcical ?

It's certainly ironic and sickening that they were invited to the States who have been funding the IRA for decades

However I for one am delighted to see Gerry Adams being shunned in the US and if the McCartney sisters manage to focus public and political attention here and there on the continued existence of a group of murdering terrorists like the IRA then it will be worth it
