It seems a pity that this guy in Glasgow got shot because the Police mistook an Umbrella for a gun. However, for a long time now I really have been concerned about the dubious "habit" that some men have for carrying Umbrellas. What is it about?
I can understand Ladies desire to protect their Hair, on which they have probably spent a fortune, but Guys? I even see some in the Summer on bright days , carrying one just in case. Does this irk anyone else? I particularly avoid the Blokes (That's what they must be) who do that funny thing that men with bowler hats do. They hit the ground with the point of the Umbrella and i find myself wishing a dead eyed sniper would intervene. Have I got a problem?
Men with Umbrellas
Umbrellas for men or women are suspect as they are usually wielded on packed streets with maximum threat to other people's eyeballs. No matter how big the umbrella two people can never happily fit under one and why do usually male golfers require absolutely enormous ones? I've never had a set of clubs that was so precious it had to be guarded in wet weather.
Golf umbrellas are the SUVs of the footpaths.
