childhood in portobello in the 60s

Post by chippy » 15 Nov 2004, 21:51

I have happy memories of my childhool in portobello. the beach, figgy park, joppa, the swimming baths, open air pool, paddling pool but most of all the freedom. Left portobello in 1969 when I was 12 years old and sometimes feel sad that I really haven't kept in touch with anyone with whom I can share these memories. Don't have a lot of spare time to spend on the internet but will try and keep up to date with what's going on.

Welcome chippy. :D

There are a number of people here who grew up in Porty in the 60's and some excellent threads and pictures you might want to check out the "way we were" and the "flats at the bottom of bath street thread".

WHich primary did you go to? If you don't mind me asking.
.....ambition makes you look pretty ugly
