New rules re avatars and images
Avatars shall be no wider than 125 pixels.
No image posted shall be wider than 640 pixels.
With immediate effect, any image posted that exceeds 640 pixels wide will be removed. Users with avatars that exceed 125 pixels wide have until 9pm on Friday to replace them or they too will be removed.

Re: New rules re avatars and images
Bob, where does this magical 425 come from? It's not one of the "standard" image sizes... Indeed, it blows chunks on the defacto low-res size of 640x480...Bob wrote:No image posted shall be wider than 425 pixels.

If you right-click on any image and select Properties (I'm assuming you are using Internet Explorer) you will see that it is measured in pixels. Even the most basic photo editing software will allow you to alter the dimensions of an image. If your image is too large you can simply decrease it in size proportionally until it falls within the 125 pixels max width.
You can choose any image from the internet and right-click to 'Save Picture as' to your hard drive. If you then right-click your saved version you should get the option 'Open with' folllowed by a list of programs that will enable you to view and possibly edit your image.
