Thanks - we are aware - we think the elite runners will be through between 9 -9.15 so the RYA plan to have boats on the beach well before then. Kids willl just have to dodge the runners as they come through.

The addition of a No Through road sign at the Bath Street junction with Straiton Place would be an improvement. I see several cars going to the end of the road then reversing, the drivers not realising that next stop is the Forth. These are not just people on the hunt for a parking space..

Indeed Beachbum you got it in one. Of course its a lot of money (I was being ironic) If the club had the money already we would't be asking for it. The point in this case is that I hoped that if lots of people gave a small amount we would raise the sum by receiving lots of small gifts from intereste...

Between now and early May there will be some considerable activity on the future dinghy park. Next we will be digging a trench along the front length of the land (an...

Wheelchair access to the cafe.

There is a side entrance on Bath Street with an internal ramp. Since the internal floor is around a foot higher than the prom we were obliged to do this; good for wheelchairs and for buggies.

At one stage, it looked like the widening of the alley for vehicle access and putting car-parking spaces on the land was to be a condition for planning approval, but, as per my ealier post, when the approval document came through, no such conditions were mentioned.
