Re: Driving in the snow

I've heard the same rumour about snow on the roofs of cars. Although it is safer to clear it, the news was saying that the penalty threat is not true.

A few years ago I also had a problem with the pump in the washing machine and paid £30 for an engineer to come and fix it :( I watched what he did to dismantle the machine and It turned out to be a piece of wire that was trapped in the pump stopping it turning. When the same problem happened again, ...

Make do and mend

A couple of weeks ago my wife told me that a bath mat had become stuck in the tumble drier in the garage. When I checked it, I found that the drum was not turning round so I decided that the belt must be broken. I eventually took the drier apart to see if I could fix it myself and found that it seem...

We still have 4 or 5 inches of snow and it looks as if it will continue for another week :( Anyway, I'm listening to the Susan Boyle CD that I gave my wife for Christmas to take my mind off it :D

Yesterday I came home from work to hear that one of my kids had tried to sit her driving test and failed :( However, she didn't fail on her driving abilities. Britain's got talent

So, what did people think about Britain's got talent? I was disappointed that Susan didn't make number one but it was a very difficult decision. At the same time hopefully it will take some of the pressure of her which must have been really bad. I cannot believe some ot the comments that were made a...

Tell me about :( Luckily for me I've just renewed my annual pass but I'll have to face it eventually. If the reason for the rise is due to the fall in revenue, I'm not sure whether this rise will help to encourage more people to use public transport especially in these difficult times.
