Dangerous driving

Just felt need to vent frustration: driving into Portobello from Joppa a wee while back I was undertaken by an idiot who was clearly in a rush to get stuck in the queue of traffic going through Porty! Question is: is it worth the hassle reporting him to the police or should I just put it down to an ...

we had been contemplating a move anyway, but friday night has cemented this. Fed up with out of control teens owning the streets of Portobello. Will hopefully somewhere nice and quiet to move to - I sound really old! I am only 30 (ish).... :D

I did a rough count last night of the kids I could see and I counted 24 but they were all running away, so would imagine that there were quite a few more than that chasing them that I couldn't see! I would estimate 30+

nice and quiet so far........

yup, nasty indeed. When they were running up Bath Street one young lad who was running with a stick, so I have little sympathy, took one hell of a fall onto the road. Must have hurt like hell. Then he got thumped by an older guy also yielding a stick. Nice place we live. Nobody else up and about to ...

Trouble in Porty

Anyone seen the 30+ teens fighting down Bath Street a few minutes ago? very scary stuff. Verbal to start with I think, then 1/2 ran away but came back armed with bricks and sticks. Police here at last, but the teens have probably run away by now. Hate seeing that level of violence - what on earth co...

Susie There are cordless kettle tippers that are relatively new on the market. It could be that they are not yet available on the OT core list. If you type cordless kettle tippers into google you will find a selection, though will probably work out more expensive than if you were to buy a corded ket...

Thanks for that Ed. I think I will start by looking at catteries that have been inspected by FAB charity or if that doesn't prove to be successful, will just have to start having to do the groundwork. Am not sure about a catsitter only because my cat loves company and at least if she is in a cattery...

aileenandfearghal thats the exact reason why we stopped going to our local chinese; the dragon way. We always found that their customer service was pretty non-existent. Which is why we switched to the 108, where they are very cheery (and the food is great!) :D

On a horrible night like this, the idea of a takeaway is really appealing to me. I usually go to the 108 which is great, but fancy a change of Chinese. Any recommendations? or does anyone know what the thai place is like?

Cheers :D
