Belated Christmas good wishes to everyone.
We had our usual pilgrimage up to the frozen north (which it was !!)
The roads weren't too bad on the journeys but the fear of black ice is always there especially when the temperature dips to -8.

Well I don't hang mine in any order and I don't have the patience to hang out socks, they get left inside,thrown over a rail...............but, I do like to colour co-ordinate my pegs, they have to be in pairs and preferably match the colour of the garment they are securing. :lol:

Normally I do put wrong mail through the relevant letterboxes if they are local but last week I got a dentist appointment card for someone with a similar address to mine, only it was in Eddleston ! Had to put that one back in the Post box I'm afraid :lol:

There was a woodpecker busy at work in the Figgate Park yesterday. It was in the 4 large trees that are at the East end off the park, near to the entrance next to Duddingston Park. We had a take away on Saturday night too,and decided to try the Tiger in (after a discussion on take aways on another thread). We were quoted an aprox 40 min wait and it was bang on. Food was lovely too, couldn't fault it at all. Will def use them again :D

We've just finished ours but I took the lazy way I'm afraid and microwaved it for six minutes................delicious :D
Still had to cook the potatoes and turnip the conventional way though so had to start cooking a lot earlier anyway.

They have visited the Daisy Park the last couple of winters but haven't seen any this year yet. Sometimes you hear them before you see them, they make a lovely tinkling sound :D

A wee update, a friend of mine was walking along the Prom about that time and saw the Police dusting for finger prints on the window of the flat right on the corner of James Street so looks like it was a break in or an attempted one there.
