Launch Party
A great Launch Party. Thanks to everyone for all the hard work. The food was beautifully presented and very tasty. The films had us laughing, then thoughtful by turn. Well done the film-makers. We look forward to future productions.

Cafe Seafield Rd near Kings Rd

The two ladies who owned it were both Miss Franchi - one called Julia. The cafe was closed when ...

Old Paddling Pool
Funny one, ecm! We did ask him today why the strange stance - looking for luckies maybe? He was a great finder as a child. Odd that he can't recall, but it was a few years back right enough.

Paddling Pool site
Glad to learn Linda is getting some encouragement. She deserves it. Just seems a pity the installation didn't have a longer life - especially since nothing is happening on site until the 11th. A lot more people could have had the chance to see it. We look forward to other ideas for the Prom.

Pity four days was all the time available. Portobello needs imaginative people such as Linda. Appreciate ...

Police Station article
Well done, Bob and Co. for the time and effort involved in the project. The BELL in Portobello will have to be emphasized in future.
I didn't vote for it to be given a new life but I'm sure I'll grow to love it through time (B-O-O-M B-O-O-M)!

Smoking in Public Places Consultation
Thanks for raising this issue, Porty. We've sent our lengthy contributions which, hopefully, will have some effect.
Both took a bit longer than 5 minutes! I had to doctor husband's reply as he got so incensed his typing suffered badly.
Its good to air serious annoyances - feel much lighter now.
