Epykat, Your comment would have been better put if you had posted it on the EN website as the people who have posted on this thread are not surmising or making things up. All comments about the situation which were discussed came directly from the school themselves and there was never any suggestion...

The problem is that the tower block is also used for sitting exams. My son is currently sitting his English on the 7th floor. Now only accessible via the blue stair as the other stairs have been closed due to the flooding. Floors 1 thru six are flooded. Its his first SQA exam and this is not a great...

We also had an Angela Person (A. Person). We used to get calls asking to speak to A Person. We could never resist the inevitable.

Bob claims he knew a Russel Sprout but I am having difficulty believing him.

I used to work with a guy called Dick Manley. His address on e-mails (when it gets reversed) used to cause a lot of hilarity.

I just want him to s** off to the gym so that I can watch Desperate Housewives in peace. Has he done any of the things that he was supposed to while I was running around Edinburgh, taking the children to their judo and swimming classes? No, cos he has got a new toy. He may very well be posting about ...

Thanks, Dadaist. I appreciate that.
However, its a sad thing that no-one else is admitting to watching D.H.
If I don't get a copy of the episode I will just have to demand the DVD for my birthday.
Then Bob'll be sorry.
Hey, plus point.

ecm: I handed the video back to Lindsay on Saturday, so it should still be in her possession when the library opens again on Monday. Hopefully you will be able to get it before she sends it back to Morningside (from whence it came). The trip to Inchkeith was fab and I could bore everyone to death go...

Which House were you in?

It has become apparent from many recent posts that there are a lot of Portobello High Parollees out there. Now is the time to confess all. Which House were you in?
I will start it off and let you know that I was in CRICHTON. I was in CG1 and my House Mistress was Miss Watt.

I must confess that it was not me who posted that message, but my son. I was making a cup of tea and had left myself logged on. I have told him that if he tries that again I will make him read 100 years of solitude and then he might actually appreciate Philip Pullman!

One book NOT to take would be "One Hundred Years Of Solitude". Billed as an enthralling, exceedingly comic novel. Yeah, they were laughing when they took my money for it  .
