And then last night, I had an @rsehole in a transit van trying to spit on me the whole way from Abbeyhill to Jock's Lodge. Sorry to hear this, Bazza. It seems that any form of road transport seems to bring the worst out of people. Unacceptable behaviour becomes the norm. You can only hope the wind ...

I really liked this. We kept everything off for most of the night. It's so much more relaxed and candlelight is lovely. I had this silly notion that when I looked out the window at 8.30pm I'd see lots of lights in houses / flats going off but unfortunately not. Maybe next time(hoping that this will ...

Sorry - last thing about chocolate before we leave it to the digging. Hi, Poppy! Thanks for the 'welcome back'. And, yes, it's that very chocolate.

Hi Heather and Jim. What a great thing you are doing for Maggie's centre. Maggie's is a wonderful sanctuary for people with cancer and their families. My dad sadly passed away on 10th June. He had myeloma, went into remission only to find unrelated secondaries in his liver and a tumour in his stomac...

Well done to Sandra and ecm!!! What a long walk! But all for a good cause. Thanks for sending the photos, Sandra - they're great. Sounds like you both need to soak your feet in a nice foot spa for a few weeks!

Well done! :D

This sounds like a bit of a pain for you, Penny. It's a shame that the beach is used in this way and it has over time made me reluctant to have a walk along the prom later in the evening. I hope more people complain about this if it continues to be problem.

Cinnamon

Just had a very nice carry-out meal from the newly opened Indian carry-out, Cinnamon (249 Portobello High Street). Don't know whether to be happy or concerned that this place has opened so close to our door :?
A bit too tempting.

Definately worth a try.

Agree entirely with you on this, Franck.

The last time we went camping at Loch Lomond we were supprised and irritated by the amount of jet skiing that is allowed there in a national park. The noise and environmental pollution has to be taken seriously.
