Agree. I would add however that motorist vs cyclist/pedestrian when on the roadway is a risk that society in general accepts. (designated cycle paths and pedestrian crossings aside). The roadway in that sense is a shared area. This is where is differs from the prom. To completely contradict myself i...

All cyclists on the prom are a hazard. I have seen collisions between responsible cyclists and responsible pedestrians on a few occasisons. These things are unnavoidable. People walking along the prom can stop and change direction at any time, particularly when looking after small children or dogs. ...

I've lived in Porty for a few years now and have noticed that this sort of thing appears to be cyclical, and always around this time of year. It dies away after a month and particularly towards the summer. Maybe has something to do with the groups of kids reaching the end of school and letting their...

I unfortunately, or fortunately, depending on how you look at it, had a front row seat for the Friday night violence. I was the one standing in the cold for half an hour giving a statement after it all calmed down. It started with the youths kicking the wing mirrors off some cars at the end of Strai...

Was at the game on Saturday, just behind the goal where we scored. My ears are still ringing, my head is still hurting, my wallet is still empty, still can't believe it, fantastic. Also play in a band. Been getting a good response lately.

I've set up a website with links to some demo songs we recorded a while back.

Closure

I have heard a rumour that the Utopia bar has closed for good. Bankruptcy being the reason. A £44K price tag for a 2 year let was also quoted.

Poor winter trade blamed.

Like the new look of the place. Don't think anymore was necessary. A nice place across the road where i can go to watch the footy on a Saturday with an excellent pint of Best is just what was needed.

Father O'Grady was saying his goodbyes to the parishioners after his Sunday morning service as he always does when Mary Clancey came up to him in tears. "What's bothering you so, dear?" inquired Farther O'Grady. "Oh, father, I've got terrible news." Replied Mary. "Well what is it, Mary?" "Well, my h...

Is anyone else getting bombarded with phone calls that are actually recorded messages? They start with the usual 'Congratulations you have been selected at random.....'. Usually with an American accent.

Got to be Angus Young on lead guitar, John Bonham on drums, Mike Patton on vocals, Flea on bass and Stone Gossard on rhythm guitar.

Ray Manzarek could do a stint on the keyboards.

Not thought of a name or actually how bizarre this line up would actually sound.

Exactly my view. I try not to get involved with big brother, but the actions of this girl have highlighted exactly what is wrong with public perception of socialist ideals. Its not about anarchy and chaos. Social justice and equality are philosophical entities and require extensive contemplation. Ch...

Yes the very same Explioted! Bodycount was an attempt by Ice-T to get into the rock/heavy metal market. They were ok but nothing special. The reason The Exploited were involved was due to a collaboration on the soundtrack for the '93 film Judgement Night (starring Emilio Estevez and Denis Leary amon...

Probably not the same taste as you guys but AC/DC in glasgow 2002 was amazing. They basically played their greatet hits.

Worst gig has to be Ice-T with bodycount at the Livingston Forum (1993 i think, could be wrong.) Although the Exploited supported them who were pretty good.

I don't want the superstore to be built, mainly because of effect on local small business and traffic congestion at kings Road roundabout.
